🚀 General & Getting Started

RemindaBro is the anti-flake app that uses peer pressure to actually make you show up. Instead of just getting notifications from yourself, your friends get notified too. They can nudge you, encourage you, or call you out for being a flake. It's accountability that actually works.

Other apps are easy to ignore because it's just you vs. your phone. RemindaBro adds social consequences and rewards. Your reputation, your score, and your friends are all on the line. Plus, we gamify reliability with a scoring system that makes being dependable actually feel good.

Yes! RemindaBro is completely free to download and use. No hidden fees, no premium tiers, no bullshit. We believe everyone deserves reliable friends.

Easy: 1) Download the app, 2) Create your profile, 3) Add your bros, 4) Start creating events, 5) Actually show up for once. Your friends will thank you, your reputation will thank you, and your social life will thank you.

RemindaBro is available on iOS right now. That's our full focus for the moment, so no Android or web app yet - but never say never.

⚙️ Technical & App Features

A bro sends you a reminder, you accept or decline it, and once it's accepted RemindaBro schedules a series of alerts leading up to the event automatically - no manual setup needed. When it's go time, you mark the reminder Complete, Bail, or use a Busy pass if you're genuinely tied up. No secret "friends get notified" trigger - it's all upfront and consensual.

Not manually - RemindaBro calculates it for you. Your flakiness level (1-10, how much you personally need the help) and your bro's concern level (1-10, how worried they are you'll forget) get averaged into a score that determines how many reminders you get, from 1 up to 5. The flakier you are and the more concerned they are, the more nudges you get, spaced out automatically and kept out of your face during quiet hours (10PM-8AM).

If you don't mark it Complete or Bail, RemindaBro auto-marks it as bailed a couple hours after the event, which costs you 5 points off your reliability score. Genuinely busy? You get 3 no-penalty "Busy" passes a month for exactly that. Show up on time and you earn points back - reliability is always recoverable.

Your reliability score is built from simple point values: +10 for completing on time, +3 for completing late (within an hour), +1 just for accepting a reminder, and -5 for bailing or no-showing. Those points roll up into a reliability percentage and a tier - Solid Bro, Reliable Bro, Working On It, or Flaky Bro - that your bros can see on the leaderboard.

Yes! Set up weekly, biweekly, or monthly reminders for stuff like gym sessions, bro calls, or game nights, plus annual reminders for birthdays and anniversaries. Recurring events make it easy to stay consistent and build good habits.

Three types: one-off events for a specific date (poker night, a deadline, a wedding), recurring events for stuff that repeats (weekly gym sessions, monthly game nights), and annual reminders for birthdays and anniversaries. If it involves you or a bro needing to show up somewhere at a specific time, RemindaBro's got it covered.

My Brominders are reminders you set for yourself - no bro required. They live right alongside your friend-sent reminders on your Home tab and in your My Brofile, so everything you need to remember is in one place.

During onboarding you pick a Bro Character to represent you: Gym Bro, Gamer Bro, Food Bro, Music Bro, Sports Bro, Tech Bro, Adventure Bro, or Party Bro. It shows up as your avatar across the app - purely for personality, doesn't affect your score or reminders.

👥 Social & Friends

Search for them by username and send a connection request. There's also a QR code in the app you can share to invite people to download RemindaBro. Once someone accepts your request, you can start sending each other reminders and holding each other accountable.

Bro Groups are a shared feed for your connections - post quick updates (up to 280 characters) that your bros can see, separate from your one-on-one reminders. Good for keeping the group in the loop without setting up a formal event.

Only if you invite them to specific events. You control who sees what. Some events are private (like work deadlines), some are public (like parties), and some are invite-only. Your privacy is respected, even while we're holding you accountable.

Everyone gets busy, but consistent flaking affects your friend's score too. If someone isn't being a good reminder bro, you can choose different friends for future events. The system promotes reliable behavior - unreliable reminder bros naturally get invited less.

Yeah, you can unfriend people anytime. Their past event data disappears from your feed, and they can't see or remind you for future events. Sometimes you outgrow people, or they outgrow being reliable. It's all good.

Absolutely. We don't sell your data, we don't use it for weird ads, and we definitely don't share it with sketchy third parties. Your events, your scores, your friend connections - all private. We're in the business of making you reliable, not selling your personal info. Read our privacy policy.

Your bro connections can see your score, but the general public can't. Your reliability percentage sorts you into a tier - Solid Bro, Reliable Bro, Working On It, or Flaky Bro - that shows up on your leaderboard. It's meant to create friendly competition and accountability, not public shame.

The leaderboard ranks you against your own bro connections based on your points and reliability tier - it's not a public, app-wide ranking. It's a quick way to see who's actually showing up and who needs to step it up.

🔧 Troubleshooting

First, check your phone's notification settings for RemindaBro. Make sure notifications are enabled. If that's not it, try logging out and back in. Still nothing? Restart your phone (yes, the classic turn-it-off-and-on-again actually works). Persistent issues? Contact support and we'll sort it out.

Make sure your friends have notifications enabled too. Check that they haven't blocked RemindaBro. Sometimes phone battery saver modes block notifications. If they're using older phones, there might be system limitations. Everyone should enable push notifications for the best experience.

Self-service password reset isn't available yet. Reach out to support with the email or username on your account and we'll help you get back in.

We love feedback! Found a bug? Got an idea for improvement? Hit up our feedback form or email us at support@remindabro.com. We read everything and actually implement the good ideas. Your input makes the app better for everyone.

Try these steps in order: 1) Close and reopen the app, 2) Restart your phone, 3) Check for app updates (you might be on an old version), 4) Reinstall the app (data is saved on our servers). If it's still being weird, your phone might be the issue - try running updates on your OS too.
