- Send & Receive Reminders: Deliver accountability messages between you and your Bros

Service Improvement
- No Third-Party Tracking: RemindaBro does not use third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. We don't track your behavior for marketing or profiling purposes.
- Operational Data Only: We use the data described above only to run and troubleshoot the features you actually use — for example, seeing that a reminder failed to send so we can fix it
Safety & Security
- Fraud Prevention: Detect and prevent abusive behavior
- Content Moderation: Keep the platform safe and respectful
- Legal Compliance: Meet our legal obligations
Transparency Promise: We never use your data for advertising, targeted marketing, or sell it to third parties. Your data exists solely to make RemindaBro work better for you.
👥 Data Sharing & Disclosure
We believe in minimal data sharing. Here's when and why your information might be shared:
Within RemindaBro
- Your Designated Bros: Only the friends you specifically connect with can see your reminders and reliability score
- Group Members: If you join accountability groups, members can see relevant group activity
Third-Party Services
- Supabase: Our backend provider — hosts our database, authentication, and image storage
- Apple Push Notification service (APNs): Delivers your reminder notifications to your device
We don't work with advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics vendors, and we don't sell your data to anyone.
Legal Requirements
- Legal Process: When required by court order, subpoena, or similar legal requirements
- Safety Concerns: To prevent harm or illegal activity
- Business Transfer: If we sell or merge the company (with same privacy commitments)
Your Control: You decide exactly who sees your information. You can remove Bros, leave groups, and delete your data at any time.
🔒 Data Security
We take data protection seriously with multiple layers of security:
Encryption & Protection
- Encryption in Transit: All data sent between the app and our servers travels over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections
- Encryption at Rest: Data is stored in Supabase's managed Postgres database, which encrypts data at rest
- Access Controls: Database access is restricted using row-level security policies, so accounts can only see data they're authorized to see (their own data, their Bros', and their group's)
Note: reminder and post content is not end-to-end encrypted — it's readable by our backend infrastructure the same way any app's server-stored data is, protected by the access controls above rather than client-side encryption.
Account Security
- Secure Authentication: Login is handled by Supabase Auth using industry-standard credential storage
- Session Management: Sessions use securely managed, auto-refreshing tokens
Security Commitment: We use industry-standard security practices and continuously update our protections. However, no internet service can be 100% secure. We're transparent about risks and work diligently to protect your data.

- Restrict Processing: Limit how we use your data in some cases

🔗 Third-Party Services
RemindaBro integrates with some trusted third-party services:
Essential Services
- Supabase: Database, authentication, and image storage for the app
- Apple Push Notification service (APNs): Delivery of reminder alerts to your device
No Other Integrations: RemindaBro does not currently integrate with any external calendar apps, location services, or social media platforms. There are no optional third-party connections to manage — Supabase and Apple's push service are the only outside services involved in running the app.
🌍 International Data Transfers
RemindaBro's backend runs on Supabase's infrastructure, so your data may be processed on servers outside your country, depending on where our Supabase project is hosted.
Your Protection
- Same Treatment Everywhere: We handle every user's data the same way, regardless of where they're located
- Your Rights Still Apply: We'll honor access, correction, and deletion requests no matter where you're signing in from
Honest Note: RemindaBro is a small, independently-run app. We aim to respect the spirit of privacy laws like the GDPR and CCPA — honoring your rights to access, correct, and delete your data — but we haven't undergone formal regional certification processes. If you have specific regional compliance questions, reach out and we'll do our best to help.
👶 Children's Privacy
Age Requirement: RemindaBro is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Parental Control
- No Targeting: We don't target children in our marketing or design
- Parental Rights: Parents can request removal of their child's information
- Immediate Action: We'll promptly remove any child's data upon request
Teen Users (13-17)
- Same Protections: Teen accounts are subject to the same data practices described throughout this policy
- Parental Guidance: We recommend parental involvement for users under 18
